Tina Duckworth

Tina grew up in the North Canterbury Region & attended Rangiora High School.
In her early days Tina started out at Arthur Burkes in Amberley, followed by Nannying.

Tina then began her 16 year trade career as a clothing machinist, working her way up to supervisor and then as a trainer. Tina gained her amazing people skills managing 65 women in her team while following guidelines and targets which were met weekly and sometimes hourly.

Over time the apparel business changed and we focused on starting a family to which we had 2 lovely boys.

Today both of our sons work in the Family Business. Luke has been with us for 5 years now and Josh 2 years.

Ashley Duckworth

Ashley was born and raised on a high country farm in Lee’s valley. There he spent early years mustering, shearing and working on farms as well as fencing and developing grounds into new pastures, developing blocks for easier stock handling.

Ashley spent 3 years working for residential fencing contractor, Keith Wendelken where he did his apprenticeship and learnt how to build many different types of frames, retaining walls, decks, pergolas and decorative gates. From here he ventured out on his own and formed large teams who were involved with big subdivisions like Northwood Styx mill, Gainsborough and worked for many building companies.

Ashley started rural fencing soon after starting his residential business and it expanded very quickly. There were four different types of post driving machines added to the business, to ensure we could offer superior services in a diverse range of conditions. These machines enable us to work on grounds that are uneven, wet and difficult to reach such as ditches and in amongst trees.

Ashley’s love for the outdoors has lead to some very interesting and sometimes challenging jobs which he has enjoyed completing with the help of his staff.
